Our portfolio of serviced apartments in the City of London is growing to service the increase in enquiries we have in the area.
The City of London is defined by the area within Farringdon, Barbican and Old Street to the North, Aldgate and Tower Hill to the East, the River Thames to the South, and Holborn and Chancery Lane to the West.
Being London's original business and financial hub, the City of London is a prime location for serviced apartments, as London's transient business community demand somewhere to stay which is close to their place of work. Historically, the City was a ghost town at weekends, with its high concentration of businesses, and low levels of residential accommodation.
However, residential development in and around the City has increased in recent years, and its population has grown. After all, what is not to like about living in the City, particularly if you work there? You can walk to work five days a week, and avoid the hustle and bustle of the more traditional residential areas of London at the weekend. However, you know that you are only a short tube or taxi ride away from the theatres, shops and restaurants of the West End and other popular areas of London.
The City is now very well catered for in terms of retail outlets and supermarkets. One New Change, which is a fantastic new retail development, with restaurants and cafes, is located between St Paul's and Bank, and is open 7 days a week. The City now has an abundance of chain supermarkets, and express stores, which are usually open 7 days a week.
As well as the City itself, there are a multitude of fringe areas which have become trendy and popular, providing a blend of urban life and West End living. Areas such as Clerkenwell, Farringdon, Shoreditch and Hoxton, Old Street and Islington, have thriving, diverse communities and fantastic night life.
We can offer serviced apartments both in the heart of the City and on it's fringe. In the middle of the City we have locations such as City Quarters near Tower Hill and the Tower of London, Creechurch Apartments, next to the Swiss Re building, Queen Street apartments, just off Cannon Street, and Watling Street Apartments just a stones throw from the Bank of England. On the fringes we have Saffron Heights in trendy Clerkenwell and Hanbury Street Apartments in quirky Spitalfields
Particularly if you are working in the City, it makes perfect sense to stay there as well, given the convenience of proximity to the office, together with the fantastic selection of serviced apartments available.
